Getting to Blue Lagoon
Everything you need to know to reach Malta’s most famous lagoon — and find Blue Lagoon Water Sports once you arrive.
Where is the Blue Lagoon?
The Blue Lagoon is located on the island of Comino, between Malta and Gozo.
It’s famous for its crystal-clear turquoise water and shallow sandy seabed.
There are no cars or roads on Comino — the only way to reach the Blue Lagoon is by boat.
HOW TO GET THERE?
By Boat from Malta
Most visitors depart from Ċirkewwa in North Malta. Travel time from Ċirkewwa is usually 20–25 minutes.
Boats also leave from Bugibba, St Paul’s Bay, Sliema, and Mellieħa. This is usually part of a full day cruise, duration of which depends on the company.
By Ferry from Gozo
Ferries depart from Mgarr Harbour every hour in Gozo and take approximately 15 minutes.
This is the fastest and easiest way to reach Blue Lagoon from Gozo.
Arriving at the Blue Lagoon
Boats stop at designated drop-off points around the lagoon.
Once you arrive, you’ll find swimming areas, deckchairs, kiosks, and crystal-clear water all around you.
How to Find Blue Lagoon Water Sports?
Blue Lagoon Water Sports is located directly at the Blue Lagoon.
There’s no need for taxis, shuttles, or long walks.
Once you arrive, simply look for the Watersport tent, just above the small sandy beach, next to the ferry jetty.
